I have had 3 companies come out to bid on replacing 2 A/C and furnaces and I am more confused than ever on which direction to go.
the one unit is a 2 zone and heats/cools approx. 2,000 sq. ft
the second unit heats/cools approx 4,000 sq. ft
The first bid is Lennox (EL296E) 2 stage gas furnaces with high efficient ECm fan motors
Lennox 15.5 SEER high efficient 3.5 ton r-410 refrigerant air conditioners
They proposed the same units for both areas
2nd proposal
heating -Trane XV95 2 stage variable speed blower
cooling - Trane XL 18i 4 ton 2 stage compressor
3rd proposal
Carrier Performance Series
59TP6A080 furnace
24ABC636 A/C
We live in western pa so I was told the main focus is on the furnace.
the one unit was installed during an addition we put on 13 years ago and the other is replacing a unit that is 25 years old.
Any help or information on guiding me in making the decision would be appreciated.
